At Devecu we process personal data transparently and only as needed. This policy explains what data we collect through this site, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights. It is governed by the Organic Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Ecuador (LOPDP) and its regulations and, where applicable because of your location, by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data we process
- Contact form: name, email, company (optional) and the content of your message. We do not ask for sensitive data; please do not include it in your message.
- Email communications: the data you send us when you write to us directly.
- Technical data: when you visit the site, the hosting provider may log technical data (IP address, browser, date and time) for security and operational purposes.
- Cookie preferences: we store your cookie choice in your browser. The site currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies. More information in the Cookie Policy.
3. What we use it for
- To reply to your inquiries and continue the conversation about your project.
- To prepare proposals and quotes and, if we reach an agreement, to manage the contractual relationship.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that affect you, we do not build profiles and we will not send you marketing communications without your consent. We do not sell or rent personal data.
4. Legal basis
- Your consent, when you submit the form accepting this policy or write to us. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract, when you request a proposal or hire a service.
- Legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
- Compliance with legal obligations, for example accounting and tax obligations.
5. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 12 months from the last contact.
- Clients: for as long as the relationship lasts and, afterwards, for the periods required by law.
- Cookie preferences: 12 months, or until you clear your browser data.
After those periods, we delete or anonymize the data.
6. Recipients and providers
We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law. To run the site and handle your inquiries we work with providers that process data on our behalf (data processors), under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only according to our instructions:

7. International transfers
Some providers may be located outside Ecuador. In that case, we only work with providers that offer an adequate level of protection or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, in accordance with applicable law.
8. Your rights
You can exercise the following rights at any time, free of charge:
- Access: find out what data about you we process.
- Rectification and updating: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Objection: object to certain processing.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
- Suspension or restriction of processing in the cases provided by law.
- Not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
- Withdraw your consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise them, email us at info@devecu.com stating which right you want to exercise. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can file a complaint with Ecuador's Superintendency of Personal Data Protection (Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales) or, if you live in the European Union, with the data protection authority of your country.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access control and providers with security guarantees.
10. Minors
Our services are aimed at companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we find that we have, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal changes or changes to our services. We will publish the new version on this page with its update date and, if the change is significant, we will let you know through an appropriate channel.
